I have had with 6.02 and 6.03 using opengl

Same issue that I have had with 6.02 and 6.03 using opengl, I can log in, choose my character, get to the loading screen, and when I enter the world, WoW crashes (actually it hangs, but the WoWError popup comes up). Back to 6.01 for now.

I switched back to D3D with the 6.04 beta. I seem to be experiencing very little graphical glitches now. The only one I noticed is the one where you zoom out and your face kind of disappears. If I notice it when I login I quit and start again and that usually clears it up. It's not perfect but it is a lot better then it was and it seems the D3D problems are clearing up. Enabling Pixel Shaders 2.0 still isn't working. It still causes beams of light to shoot out of some characters and mobs. OpenGL is still a no go.

Graphical errrors aside, a big reason I cannot use D3D is the crash in Zangarmarsh issue. Without fail, there are certain spots in Zangarmarsh (and Blades Edge to a lesser extent) that will simply cause the client to crash. I may enable D3D and see if those issues have been fixed.

I really am curious as to what changed re: OpenGL after 6.01 (and persists through every release since then).

I imagine that is the same question TG is working out.

As D3D is very fuzzy to me, I cannot stand to use it. I guess I'll have to wait for this issue to be fixed.

My only problem so far is a periodic graphical glitch on the goop in Undercity. Every three seconds or so it flashes this pattern that looks kind of like a checkerboard for a few seconds. Its really weird, because that area used to work just fine.

I might try openGL but its never worked quite as well for some strange reason.
