Another patch... another lowering of performance. I hate having such nice hardware and such crap performance. At least I was able to stay around 30fps in Shattrath before the patch. Now my framerate can drop down to 15fps in Shatt when flying around depending on where I am. I still stick at my 60fps cap around most of Azeroth but Outland performance leaves something to be desired.

I hate to fan the flames, but I have noticed a 20-30 fps increase in wow/wine with said patch. As a side note, I am using opengl instead of directx... as opengl performs MUCH better in standard wine. Also, opengl looks better in this patch. I was surprised.

I am using OpenGL in cedega as well. DirectX is still unusable due to the graphical glitches.

i just upgraded my video cards to the 8800GTX running 2 of them in SLI mode and tested wow under cedega, my FPS DROPPED by a good 10 - 20 points compared to my older 7600GS cards...
also as of the 2.3 patch my system both under windows and Linux has lost a fair amount of FPS instead of gained.
system specs:
AMD 939 X2 3800+
Asus A8N-SLI Premium MB
2G 3200 ram
sATA drive
Sabayon Linux 3.3
2x 8800GTX 768M SLI configured
just updated Nvidia drivers emerge nvidia-drivers followed by: eselect opengl set nvidia then rebooted computer.
my system runs faster on the desktop and atm i am not running beryl was testing WoW without beryl.

SLI is not going to do anything for you in Cedega. Only one GPU will be used.

According to Transgaming this is the fault of Nvidia. I don't know the reason beyond that. I can tell you that native games (Doom3, Quake 4, Quake Wars, etc.) should benefit from the SLI configuration.

Make sure that you have proper "Video Ram" (the amount of RAM on your vid card) and "AGP Vertex Data" (half the amount of RAM on your vid card) settings. I would try the amount of a single card first and then try the amount of the cards combined.
EDIT: You may also want to make sure your Nvidia settings are completely correct. I noticed in the bug thread that you quoted 15k fps for glxgears. I have a single 320Mb 8800 GTS (It may not be SLI 8800 GTX cards but it's still awesome!) and I get ~23k. I would expect your numbers to at least come close to mine.

Try disabling SLI and see if that changes your WoW performance any.
